Convert negative values to positive using Excel
For this tutorial, we are presented with a workbook that has a list of values that we would like to convert from negative to positive. To do this, we are going to use a quick and easy method. Read on to find out how.
How to convert negative values to positive values - Excel 97, 2003, 2007 (method may be a little different but concept remains the same)
- For this example, we will assume all our negative vaules are in cells A5:A10.
- Select cell B1 and type -1.
- Copy cell B1.
- Select cells A5:A10
- Select Paste Special from the Edit Menu.
- Select Multiply under Operation.
- Click Ok.
Afterwards, you can erase the contents of B1. Thats it!
